It’s the time of year when we look back at where we are, and look forward to next year.

Our usual look back at the multi-parcel transactions in November shows us 114 transactions involving a party generally associated with new-home development. See the attached data. So much for a winter slow down!

On a broader scale, I’ve mentioned before how much I enjoy the Calculated Risk blog. Mr. McBride has done us the favor of gathering, in a single post, a look back at prior year projections on new home sales and starts, as well as a look at some early projections for 2018. For context, he notes that 2017 actual numbers look to be around 615,000 new home sales nationally, with 1.205m starts. The projections are all calling for growth in both metrics in 2018.
