I struggled with an approach to this month’s blog. Economic news is getting swallowed up by politics, and that is not likely to abate with the election season coming on. So I was happy to have home builders come to the rescue! Cutting through the noise, the National Association of Home Builders reported their highest confidence score in twenty years. I particularly liked their clear message that conditions in housing favor growth in construction, despite supply-side constraints.
I wasn’t able to access MLS data before writing today (technical glitch). But we have been tracking MOI changes in relation to supply-side issues in our existing home market for some time.
Finally, true to form, our Mover’s Moving Index hit 169 transactions in November. See attached. This is a very strong showing for this time of the year.
